IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE, WELCOME! Normally a process post like this would happen over on my Projects blog but since this one includes a giveaway it's happening here (and there's lots of December Daily goodness happening over there). If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.

Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:

Hello zig zag!

I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.

Here's a look at my process:

I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.

I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.

I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.

Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.

And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.

"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.

For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.

Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

Love this! :) As always! My fave holiday tradition is going to visit Santa and get a pic w/him (the whole family). My hubby and I started it when we were 1st dating & have continued it adding children as they come. I keep all these 5x7's in a 9x11 scrapbook. It's fun to get it out each year and look at all the diff Santa pics! :)

My favourite holiday tradition is... ice cream for breakfast on Christmas morning. It's is our own unique tradition and I think that is why I love it so much. Oh, and ice cream is really great anytime of the day/year.

One of my newest holiday traditions (going on 5 years now) is putting together the annual calendar featuring my niece. She brings the entire family such joy, is not camera shy, loves to use the "cammer" herself, and is the perfect subject. I try to include each family member and all the dates that are significant to us. It's a lot of work, but fun -- and everyone looks forward to getting theirs each year. Turning the calendar pages is a lot of fun.

I love the zigzags on your page. Gotta get my hands on that stamp.

My favorite Christmas tradition is wearing our brand new Christmas pyjamas on Christas morning (and early afternoon if we are slow opening our gifts). The pyjamas are in the only gift we are allowed to open on Christmas Eve. We all pretend we don't know that the gifts contain PJs.... The color and design is always a surprise... I try to pick something original and different for each one of us. But this year I picked the same for my daughter, my daughter in law and myself. The two boys (hubby and son) will both have navy blue bottoms and red tops.... We wear our PJs as we open our gifts one by one... We have been doing this since our 2 kids were babies.

Great stamps and a delightful page. I just love your journaling. My favorite holiday tradition is helping the kids put out milk and cookies for Santa, and the water and carrots for his reindeer on Christmas Eve.

Who wouldn't love more stamps in ones collection! Some of our traditions are a little different 'down under'. Salads, BBQ's, beach. but baking is always on our list.. we have a few favourites we always make, and nice as when the daughters help.

First off, I LOVE that zig zag stamp.... It's def going on my Christmas list (not allowed to buy things for ourselves this time of year!) Second, our family tradition that I love is doing Christmas Crackers at dinner and wearing those silly tissue hats. So fun!

I can see endless possibilities with this zig zag stamp! Can't wait to get my hands on it! Our favorite family holiday tradition is to meet siblings, cousins, spouses, etc., at the grandparents house on Christmas Eve. As time has gone by, dinner is now prepared by the current generation & the grandparents are wined & dined while they bask in all the love & attention they deserve and have earned. They are now 83 & 84. We cherish each & every Christmas Eve with them.

One of my family traditions signals the beginning of the Christmas season for us. Everyone in my family knows we do not listen to Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving. The first songs we listen to is from an album (now a CD) I had as a child--The Partridge Family Christmas. lol Yes, I know, a little weird, but it's what we do.

I have two favorite holiday traditions. I love wrapping presents and adding all the embellishments to make a beautiful package. My other favorite tradition is trimming the tree with all the ornaments that have been collected and given to us over the years. Thanks for sharing.
