Here's two of the three sets of stamps that I'll be giving away:

Also, Hero Arts will also be giving away five prize packs that include brand new 2012 Catalog stamps. The five winners will be randomly chosen from ALL of the blog hop comments received by midnight PST on Monday, December 12, and will be announced on the Hero Arts blog shortly thereafter.

All the new stamps will be available on December 10th. Check out HeroArts.com for a store near you.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE, WELCOME! Normally a process post like this would happen over on my Projects blog but since this one includes a giveaway it's happening here (and there's lots of December Daily goodness happening over there). If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.

Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:

Hello zig zag!

I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.

Here's a look at my process:

I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.

I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.

I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.

Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.

And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.

"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.

For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.

Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

I love it all - the decorating, the classic Christmas movies, the cookies, the family get-togethers, the stockings, driving around looking at lights...it's all so magical.

Thanks for the chance to win - as a beginning stamper I'm excited to explore all that's out there!

Love that page- the chevron stamp IS AMAZING! I agree- the metal arrow brad tab is fabulous. Our new tradition is making Christmas cards together as a family- our daughter is 2 so we just have her scribble on the inside which totally makes her day.

Christmas Eve pajamas is our favorite holiday tradition! Everyone can't wait to see what pajamas they'll get this year! The kids anxiously wait all day for it!

My favorite tradition is spending Christmas with family and really slowing down so we can enjoy simple activities like playing scrabble, doing puzzles and watching movies together.

Each year I give my children an ornament in their stockings. When they get married and have their own tree they will have ornaments ready to go.

Love the layout. Your Anna is very sweet! :) One of my favorite traditions is decorating the tree. We do it as a family. Everyone participates (which is hard when you have 6 people) but I love going through the ornaments with the kids and listening to the "oh I remember when I got this one" and the tears that sting my eyes and the lump that goes in my throat as I hang all 4 of those "baby's 1st Christmas" ornaments. They are the first ornaments on the tree every year. It's so very bittersweet and reminds me of Christmas pasts and leaves me anticipating future Christmases with my children.

My fave tradition is heading out to Pike Ntl. Forest to get our tree. I grew up in Chicago, so cutting down a tree, having a bonfire with hotdogs and hot cocoa amongst friends, tying the tree to our car roof, and driving in a long line of cars with trees on them is just awesome for me. I love that this is normal for my son!

My favorite holiday tradition is by far baking cookies with my little girl wearing our aprons. Nothing beats the smells, the laughter and the mess. :)

I would have never thought to use the zigzag pattern as an overall pattern. Amazing in two different colors...almost like texture.
