Saying Goodbye To Studio A

Ali, I will definitely miss your column in CK--it was the very first thing I read and the only thing I ever re-read, tore out and kept. Thank you for all the creative inspiration and for showing me how important our stories really are. I look forward to following you on your blog (and hopefully in some online classes) and seeing what great and wonderful things you come up with.

I will really look forward to having the Studio A archives on your website! CK is not that easy to come by here in England.

Ali,I will miss your column as well. Although my style is not at all like yours, I always enjoyed that your articles/ideas always went beyond style but delved into concepts. I do believe it was by far the best column in the magazine.
I wish you the very best. With your talent, the sky's the limit. You only have to decide what it is you truly want and it will come to you.

Your column is always the first part of the mag that I turn to, and I find that I then go back to it over and over again. I will definitely miss seeing it there.

Studio A is ALWAYS the first thing I open to and read when I receive my Creating Keepsakes each month...how sad you won't be there regularly anymore, however, as long as you will keep blogging and creating & sharing here I might be able to survive. After all, I check and read your blog daily- going on 4 plus years now. Thanks for no only being a highlight of my month (via CK), but my day (with your blog).

You have made such a positive difference in my life. I found your column as my youngest son was receiving intensive early intervention services for autism. I was exhausted and overwhelmed and didn't know how to scrapbook anymore. I have learned so much from your approach to life and telling our stories and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My son is doing well now and was recently diagnosed with Asperger's. I love to read about Simon, he reminds me so much of my own son. I am now battling some chronic illnesses that are dramatically altering my life. But I refuse to give up and I really focus on how important Everyday is. Thank you for teaching me that and God Bless you and your beautiful family.

Wow Ali I have such mixed feelings about this news. I am sad because I so look forward to your column in the magazine each month (& is one of the main reasons why I still subscribe). On the other hand I am excited for you to move onto another chapter. I can't wait to see what's next & hope there are some more online classes somewhere in the mix - I am currently completing Yesterday & Today and am ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT. Thank You.

With you leaving and Becky H already gone, I'm afraid the mag won't last long. They were having trouble anyway and many people didn't care for them. That is unfortunate for the industry in my opinion. Oh well, I guess we will all adapt.

Creating Keepsakes readers are going to miss you. I looked forward to your article each month. I am sad to hear this news, first Becky Higgins, now you......I look forward to seeing more from you on your blog.

Thank you for your articles over the years. I'll miss you in the magazine, but I'm very excited for you and what the future holds! Best of luck and may you continue to have fun with what you do!

I agree w/the others that CK just won't be worth my money without AE...but am excited to see what you'll do next. It is good to know when it is time to make changes, and I wish you the best as you move forward with such a positive attitude.

This looks like a very natural move, so I am very happy for you...I believe the imminent future for scrapbooking is through online media rather than paper magazines. I think CK has had its good days, but these are most likely over. I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped the paper magazine production soon. I am so glad your are teamed up with BPS, and I am sure there'll be something you'll do with Ella Publishing. Technique Tuesday is a great thing, so your future looks so bright.

i had an odd feeling that this was going to be happening soon. sigh! i have been following you since you were a garden girl at 2p's. your article, as many have already stated, was the one i would turn to first, and the reason i would save past issues. you have been such an integral part of my scrapping life. you will be missed severly. i applaud you for knowing when to say when.
sure hope to be seeing more layouts here, then, if they will not be available in ck. just love observing your style and motivation.

I'd echo many others above as Studio A & BH sketches were the primary reason I still bought CK (I let my sub run out a few yrs ago for reasons some have already mentioned).
And best wishes as you move forward. It's funny and ironic (but in a very koinky dink sort of way) -- sitting here on our coffee table right in front of me are some articles from my Studio A binder: Studio A Remember Me (May 2007) and no kidding...Studio A Transitions (April 2007). Coincidence?? Hardly ;) I was just reading the Transitions one this morning.
Thanks again for rocking it and always keeping it real and honest. I can't wait to see what your future holds. The world needs more of people like you & your sweet family :) :)

I hate to hear that Studio A will not be published in CK. I looked forward to seeing your creative edge each month. When God closes a Door he opens a window. You are a wonderul and creative person. May I say Thank you for allowing us to see your creative side and I pray you will keep going. You are a friend (even though we have only met at a CKU in the past. If you lived down the street we would be having coffee!!) I know you will be around sooo Keep creating!!
