Clear Scraps Giveaway
Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.
I've been putting off completing a Canada album for my husband and my father. They went in June 2007 and I offered to make an 8X8 scrapbook of all of the pics....just can't seem to quite doing the kids' pages long enough to want to do wilderness and fish!!! My goal is this Christmas so that I can give it to them as a gift.

I have been putting off our wedding album! And to think it has been one year since our wedding day on Monday, 9/22. :) I can't decide which format to do it in...paper...digital...and it's so overwhelming all the 1000+ photos from the photographer...I think there is a bit of fear too, in making it something truly great and special. I have a baby on the way that is due in February, so I better get crackin'... ;)

We vacation in Florida each year because we visit our son's family and need to see our grandsons as often as possible. I have this year's pictures just sitting on my scrap table just waiting to be scrapped. I'm loving the idea of using paint as a background/adhesive on one of these albums! Got my creative juices flowing again. Thanks.

oops I just realized I didn't actually answer the question. I've been putting off doing a photo a day album worried that I would run out of things to document. So far I'm halfway through and it isn't boring yet :)

I keep putting off my oldest son's grade school album. He's so much older now and it's hard to do, going back and trying to remember all those things!!!

I have been putting off journaling a small mini album I made for a vacation we took to Rhode Island with friends over ten years ago! Just didn't keep a journal then, and need to take some time with the hubby to come up with the journaling!

I really want to do a very basic project about our daily routine(s). We just moved and I don't want to forget our old routines, but now I'm so focused on establishing new ones it's hard to earmark the time to just do it. That, and our craft room is still trying to get organized from the move, and all the new exciting supplies I bought are somewhere in the USPS system.

I have been putting off my husband's album. I was working on albums from birth to now. It was supposed to be a birthday gift when he turned 30 in July. Never got done!
I love your stuff, very creative with the paint.

I have been putting off our wedding album for 10 years. I am stuck on where to start with soooooo many pictures. I want a simple look timeless but i am unsure where to start to achieve this I look through our photos so often and then say I really need to start this project and each day and year that passes doesn't make it any easier! Yikes where do you start! Heidi

Cool albums! I've been putting off completing our wedding album. I should have done it right away, but because it's been almost 7 years now I am just not motivated to get started on it again.

My sister passed away 8 years ago and I've been collecting memories and pictures but just haven't taken the plunge to do a book. I know it will be hard but healing.

These look so cool! :) Well when it comes to putting off things and procrastinating on a project I have definitely done that to our wedding pictures. We've been married over 6 years and have a baby on the way and I have yet to touch the chronological photos taken at our wedding! I know that I need to do this before December otherwise it might never really get done.
I wonder how it might work in multiple mini-books? Never thought of that.

I honestly don't know why but I put off Christmas layouts. It is one of my favorite holidays but I never feel inspired on the layouts. I have a fabulous collection of paper and embellishments for Christmas pages and never seem to pull any of it out! I think if I played some Christmas music and plugged in a mini tree, I might be able to channel the spirit of Christmas and get a few pages done--now I have a challenge for myself :)

I am putting off doing my husband childhood photographs... it seems so daunting and important. Maybe if I just lay them out simply and leave room for him to journal... clean graphics...

I have been putting off making my "ME - RIGHT NOW" album. I recently made a huge life change - I quit my career to be at home with my kids and moved houses from the city to suburbs. It is such a huge phase in my life, so many lessons and I want to "preserve them"
